birds, kits, football and stuffs
hellloooooo...
Have you seen the Guest Garden Girl layouts up at 2peas? This month we had the awesome privilege of lifting Severine Di Giacomo...it was so fun!! She has such amazing style...here is my lift:
I used a bunch of the fun new Scenic Route goodies and made a little bit of art in photoshop and even used a smidgen of glass glitter. It's my new favorite page...thanks for the inspiration Severine!!
And speaking of glitter and 2peas...I finally busted out another kit for the shop!!! It should be released next week, so it's secret squirrel until then, but....I will give you a teeeeeny little peek:
It's a fun one friends, I promise...I will post as soon as it's up for sale!
As I previously stated in one of my last posts...Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so when I saw this insanely cute kit for sale at Teresa's Paper Bella Studio...I scooped it up FAST!!! I just finally put it together last night. I added a few little extras here and there...including the little "Trick or Treat" ticket in the corner (which is another sneaky peeky for you:) :

I love making all this stuff, but it's so funny how quickly I am running out of room for it all...my house is starting to look like Santa's workshop with all the crap I have sitting out! Seriously, it makes me laugh. I got a few book projects back in the mail the other day, and I was happy to have them "home" but really- what I am going to do with it all?? I think I just need to stick to scrapbooking on a 12x12 page. At least then I can just make one pile of pages and it will only take up a foot of surface space:)
Ooh, I forgot to tell you (since we're sort of still talking about Halloween)...I ended up getting super lucky and landed a spot in the Sweet and Sinister Swap hosted by the lovely Kari (ArtsyMama)! There are over 100 people participating and my swap partner is Nicole from Germany and she is sooooo mega talented, (check out her blog) I am panicking...I don't know exactly what I am going to make just yet....but hopefully she will like it. All our craft projects are supposed to be predominately black and white...how cool is that? Kari is awesome!

and in more kit news...we are all aware of my never ending love of birds, right...well, when I saw this Vintage Bird necklace mini kit at Jenni Bowlin Studio, I thought I was having heart palpitations. I was so excited to get one of these beauties...I made mine today...and I am not even done frilling it up, but I love it so much I have to share right away. I think I am going to add a little bit of sparkle on the leaves or something and maybe add a brad on the ribbon...anyway...here it is:

(i like his little red eyeball:)
Remember when I told you I was going to the big football game?? I went, and big shocker...I actually ended up having a lot of fun...I did actually cheer for the Huskies...I couldn't believe it myself, but I sat and watched them completely butcher themselves and it felt so...familiar...being a Cougar/Seahawks fan...I know all about crappy football games...the Dawgs needed all the help they could get. It was one of the sloppiest football games I have ever watched. Sad, really.
But on the upside, I did take some fun pictures!

I had to take a picture of this dude sitting in front of us, we looooved his headphones!! They were HUGE!!!

John told me that when he and his Dad would go to games when he was younger, his Dad always wore the same monster earphones while they would walk from the ferry to the stadium...it's pretty funny if I must say so!
After the Huskies lost miserably to the Buckeyes, John took me over to the little neighborhood of Madison Park, where we grabbed some donuts from the bakery and went strolling through some of the little shops... I got these fun acorns, a crown photo/placeholder, and a yard of this beautiful Midori bird twill ribbon (at $3.50 a yard, it was all I could afford...choke!!!):

and I also scooped up this little book in one of the shops...still undecided if it's the worst or best $2.50 I have ever spent:)
I took that picture while John and I took a little rest in the grass down by the water in the actual "park" of Madison Park. It's such a little gem of a spot.
So that was football Saturday!
And now it's almost Thursday and time to plan for the weekend ahead!! Willow Nest Autumn Harvest is this weekend, and John and I had talked about going camping down that way, doing the fair and seeing some of Oregon again...but I am not sure if that is still the plan...my budget is stretched pretty thin right now, so another trip to Willow's Nest might just be torture:P But, I did read a great article about Bingen, Washington in my Sunset magazine and it seemed like a fun idea to head down there...I guess we'll wait and see what the ATM...I mean hubby...says about all that.
Well, it's getting late, so I better hit the pillow before it's tomorrow already!! I will be back soon, I have more pics to share and let's face it, I like to chat. :)

Hi sweetie :) These headphones made me laughed ! It's amazing how HUGE they are !! I adore the bird ribbon ! Too cute ! And you both on this picture are too cute too :) Your hubby looks like my father when he was young ! It's amazing the resemblance !!
Smooches from Belgium :-)
