More WCMD Fun!!
What does my desk look like on WCMD?? Well, it looks like a hurricane blew through my house...you know it's good crafting when the mess creeps its way into other parts of the house...
When I work on a project, I have to have all of my favorite tools and supplies out in front of me...when I am stamping cards, that means that I have to have my stamps, markers, tools, shape scissors, notecards, baby wipes, stickles, glue, glitter, jems, pop dots, hole punches, shape punches, white cardstock, paper scraps, paper trimmer and of course all of my inks...it ends up covering up my entire table, leaving about 11" for me to actually work. In my old office, it was more like 4" of actual work space...and that was before I added my laptop into the equation.
It may be a big mess, but it's worth it for all the fun and delicious treasures you get to show for it, right!
Congrats to "mary w" for being the first to guess (and at such a late hour, Mary:) the secret behind my "starbucks" card...I used the Martini Shaker from the brand new A Muse "Party Time" clear stamp set to make my "to go" cup of coffee!! I have been jonesing for a "to go" coffee cup stamp for a long time...with this new stamp set, I have the best of both worlds!! There are a lot of ways to do "masking", but for this image, I simply stamped the shaker in black VersaFine, and using my clean wet wipe and my finger tips, I carefully wiped off the ink from the part of the stamp I wanted to hide (the top of the shaker) and then stamped it onto the cardstock, and finished the image by drawing in the missing lines and cardboard cup cozy with my black fine tip marker. I use the "wipe off" techinique quite often to help customize my stamps to get the exact look I need.
Mary...please email me your address so I can get your RAK out in the mail this week.
and, since we're still talking stamps and coffee (two very cozy things on this cold, grey, dreary Washington day)...here is another one to "perk" you up! LOL!!

I had to laugh when I thought of the coffee drinking super hero! I am feeling pretty sleepy today, I could use a Venti Iced White Chocolate Mocha with Carmel Syrup to give me a big kick in the pants and finish off my tasks for the day (at least before the sugar coma sets in)...
Since it is World Card Making Day today, how about we do one more little contest!! All you have to do is make a card, post a picture of it in the 2peas Gallery or your blog, etc, and send me a link in the comments below. I will pick one random winner on Monday night for a "special" coffee themed RAK.
If you need inspiration to jump start your card making, visit the A Muse News blog to see a few more of my cards, or head to the 2peas Stamping Gallery and join in on one of the Stamptoberfest Challenges going on today through the 13th.
Can't wait to see what you make!!!
((((((hugs)))))))

Aaaaah, Pebbles. Ya' KILL me! Love Super Java Hero! ROTFL! And, I thought you were very clever with the shaker turned travel cup! Really, I think it's COFFEE that makes the world go 'round . . . *chuckle*
