why you shouldn't vaccuum
Today, in the middle of my afternoon, I got a wild hair to rearrange the furniture in my living room. I never do this, never, ever, ever...because I am a little OCD about my house and since we are limited with the size and our stuff, I figure most of the time it's best to leave it be. Usually if I try and change something I will end up hating it and have a tummy ache. So far, so good on the new arrangement...(pics to come soon)...
HOWEVER...I almost lost an eye doing it! I have this huge metal multi-point star lantern that I put on my window ledge for lack of a better place, and when I bent over to plug in the vaccuum...BAM!!! My eye went directly into one of the metal points...luckily, since I was looking down at the time the point only ended up jabbing into my eyelid and not my actual eyeball. How fun would that blog post have been?? Yikes. My grandmother on my Dad's side lost her eye as a kid in an accident...wouldn't want to carry on that tradition, thankyouverymuch.
I have an owie and I am sure it'll turn black. It's a little swollen right now. I ran screaming outside to get John and make sure my eye was still there. He was on the phone and didn't understand what I was yelling about. I think he is so used to my overreacting he didn't think it was a big deal.
We didn't get the bed done today, tomorrow we are picking up the new mattress and then I guess we'll be forced to pull apart the bed. One more night will do.
Are you as shocked and saddened by the news of Heath Ledgers death as I? I am stunned. He has always been one of my very favorite actors- loved him so much in Brokeback Mountain- he was so beautiful, talented and it's so tragic. My heart goes out to his family.
Anyway, that's all for tonight, I am posting a quick pic of some of my redecorating efforts: I got this fun globe for something like $3.00 at Goodwill this weekend. SCORE.

OMG! Please be careful... I felt the pain reading your post... No more sharp objects for you. ;)

Ouchie! You poor baby. I'm sure John didn't give you the sympathy that you so deserve, so here's some extra (((hugs))) ;)
Can you come help me decorate? Please? Just for one day?

Oh no! I'm so glad you didn't cut yourself in the eye! One of my friends rammed her eye into the corner of a car door this week and needed 8 stitches! That would have just been too much eye drama if you needed some too!!
Lovin your globe! The cool things in your home always make me so jealous :)

Owie, ow, ow, Jennifer. Hope you feel better now, and had a fun time skiing. Have to admit a small mountainside tantrum for the very same reason. Plus drama about altitude and passing out in line at the ski lodge. A story for another time. Anyways, have fun and no more accidents.
Best,
Bari
