Mid-Century Modern Christmas Ideas?
Just when I said life was back to normal...
I decided to take on the major task of putting up my Holiday decorations... and since I just finally got the house looking sortofthewayIwantit...now comes the struggle of adapting my layout to incorporate my various Christmas trees.
If anyone has some links to some fun holiday decorating ideas, link me up! I need the inspiration. I love this room from West Elm:
If I could shove my couch about 5 feet over from the window, I could almost pull this off, but me thinks me house is too small for such nonsense. :) However, that yellow wall is screaming at me to do something like this in our entry way. I do have a yellow chair, maybe a paint match is in order?
So for at least the next 2 days, when I am not looking for more inspiration photos online, I will be covered in silver tinsel and tangled up in tree lights.

I feel your pain! We just got our house in order, and now I need to dig the Christmas decorations out. I'm excited to decorate, but not excited to have bins and bins of stuff sitting around in the meantime. :\
Post pictures when you finish decorating! I love your seasonal decor. :)

Love that room too. Our walls are warm yellow and I love it especially in the winter.
I find that Martha Stewart always has the neatest ideas for ornaments. I'm thinking of doing paper snowflakes and covering them in glitter. I always have snowflakes on windows. Then I like ornaments that incorporate family photos. I'd love to see what kind you'd come up with. I just laminate photos, cut them into circles and attach some ribbon with a brad. I'm into simple but I'd definately love to see what you'd come up with. Thaaaanx. :)

I am soooooo relieved that photo is not your living room! I thought it was at first and it made me feel like our home needed some serious decorating attention! :)

Kathryn, I would give my left arm for this to be my home- do you think they would let me live in the West Elm catalog?

What a cool room! I think my DH would have a heart attack if I did that to our entryway, but it is waaaaaay cool! :)

Good luck! Seeting up decorations always throws everything in the room off, moving tables etc.

Every time I see that picture, I fall a little more in love with that yellow color, and I am not normally a yellow person!
