That is such a heartwarming story!! I had to post it...Elephants and Dogs! My favorite!!
What is not so heartwarming is this:
Drake locked himself in our garage today while we were out for about 6 hours running errands, and he proceeded to not only eat the garbage, but also about 12 Fiber One bars, Fiber One muffin mix, pasta-roni shells and cheese powder, some bread and some curry spice out of a ziplock bag...he also popped open a few bottles of water to wash it down.
Before today, I didn't know John could use the F-word so many times in one sentence.
;P

I can so relate to this... my cat managed to put his little leg under a door, and scratch away at a bulk bag of cat food until it tore, and then proceeded to eat several weeks worth of food in one sitting.... Have to love our pets ingineuity.

omg- i love that elephant story - made me cry (and I NEVER cry!)
I can't believe Drake got into all that- boy he must have a tummy ache, esp w/ all that fiber!
My much smaller dog recently ate a whole bag of peanut butter pretzels- she was up every hour to go outside- ugh!

ROFL! I can't help it. I don't mean to laugh but my DH can relate. My DH's Big Doggie (Hobbit) use to get in the garbage and his other big dog (Otto Proud Foot) would always run and Jump in bed, So my DH always new something was up. Yepp Hobbit was in the garbage. LOL And Otto didn't want any part of getting into trouble. heheheheee I think our little fuzzy friends like to test us. LOL
TFS!

Oh my! Is he okay? I wonder how long it will be before he can poop again with all that fiber?! LOL

I'm guessing that the dog would be using the F word right now if he could! Hope you don't have another mess to clean up today when all that stuff runs its course!

yeah, we commonly refer to fiber one bars around our house as "fart bars"... i'd watch out for his 'behind'. ;) Crop dusting may ensue.
Oh dogs :)

Look on the positive side, at least his regular & hydrated! And, thankfully chose to stick with edible items--not household. I'm not chuckling too much, I am the Mom to a 5 month old English Labrador!

AHHH....our dog got into the kids bubbles once and it wasn't pretty for a couple of days. Nothing like bubbles coming out of...um...places.

The joys of lab ownership. Our once ate the left overs from a 48 piece hot wing bucket. And when I mean left overs I mean bones and all. Then once he got in trouble when we got home went into my family room and pucked it all over my carpet.

OMG! TOOOOOO funny! Although, I"m sure at the time...not so much, eh? My parents old dog, Max, used to eat Easter grass and poo in the yard...leaving pastel stringies hanging from his bum..... We'd all laugh hysterically....Ok...gross, I know.... sorry!

Oh I totally know what it's like to get home and have one of those "surprises". My dog Buck does it sometimes if he's really bored or when he thinks I'm gone for too long now. He often eats the weirdest things and the next day he has diarrhea and throws up... Sometimes I think evolution-wise he's quite a miracle ;D And he will always sit on his blanket looking totally innocent. "Mess? I don't know what you mean by that. I didn't do anything, it looked like that before, really!" Little stinker ;)
